This place is awesome. Communication was strong and easy via Whatsapp with the owners. The room itself was lovely and had a great view of the ocean. It was admittedly small, but cozy! The water pressure was strong and hot, AC and WiFi worked well. They even provided snacks!

The most comfortable bed I've had yet, and the nicest bathroom and shower as well. Thoughtful touches like free coffee and hot/cold water, nice common areas, great ac and hot water pressure. Absolutely great staff available by line, they are remote. You will need internet to get in to the building. You need line app if you don't have it.
Location is minutes to everything you want to do in Jiufen, and bus close by too. Easy to find. Though the town is almost all steps, this particular inn doesn't require any at it's by the road (but not loud).

I would have rated this a 10 for stay if it was just a tad easier to locate. In saying that, once the property was located, the location was perfect. Host was lovely and highly recommend this place. A very cosy, clean and comfortable stay.

If you don't like crowded areas, Jiufen is not for you.
If you don't like crowded areas, Jiufen is not for you. The Jiufen old street is so narrow that you can only take some few mini steps at a time. If you were to come here, I'd suggest you to book your stay in Jiufen for the night, come in the late afternoon, perhaps go on the night walking tour, and then enjoy the views and Jiufen Old street in the early morning before all of the tourists come flooding in.

We went to Jiufen in January (winter time). As malaysians, we immensly enjoyed the milder temperatures and the lack of rain during this time, considering we came form a hot, humid country with torrential rain on a daily basis. So, our timing for visiting Jiufen was perfect for us. Jiufen can be quite crowded at times but our stay at night made all the difference. less crowd, magical red lights and the night market was amazing. It was famous for the Amei teahouse but i think Jiufen is more than that. To find gems in other things, I'd recommend staying in Jiufen overnight.LiyanaMalaysia - 10Scored 10

The village is absolutely charming, only need one night here. In the evening it gets very busy but the teahouse (Jiufen teahouse) was very quiet. Lots of interesting food to try. Incredible views. View from the 2F room is great. Our family room comes with sofa and chairs on balcony which are rare find in Taiwanese homestay. We enjoyed using the common area for dinner and breakfast. You can book and pay for their western breakfast . We also bought Asian breakfast from Family Mart and used the microwave on 2F to warm the food. Owners were friendly and accommodating. They can reserve parking lot but you must request early.

The owners also take your luggage from jiufen old street to the B&B for you on their motorcycle because you have to go down several small stairs. Even after checkout, they allowed us to leave our luggage in the main room until 4PM while we walked around. The reception area and common area are very nicely designed, and the common area has windows with an amazing view.
